Capturing the Proposal
You only get one opportunity to capture the proposal (unless you are Ross from Friends that is....)
Leaving Ross aside for a moment, most people will only ever propose once in their lifetime and it is therefore a once in a lifetime opportunity to capture this special moment. The moment comes and goes so quickly it is really nice to be able to view it again afterwards and savor the moment.
From the perspective of the person who is proposing, they have usually been planning the proposal for a long time, maybe months, they have purchased the ring, decided when and where to propose and what they are going to say or do. However, for the person who is being proposed to, they are not prepared for this huge surprise as they have not experienced the same build up to the proposal. For this reason the actual proposal moment can come and go very quickly for them without being able to truly appreciate the moment and soak it all in.
This is why it is crucial to capture this priceless moment on film so that you have it forever. You can relive the moment again and again, show it to your future children, use it to reminisce on one of your happiest memories for years to come and share it with friends and family.
Some people choose to save the footage of their proposal and show it on a screen for all their guests at their wedding. This is an awesome idea and allows your guests to share your journey as a couple to your wedding day.
Whether you want to share the footage and photos with the world or just keep it to yourselves, that is your choice, but it is crucial to have that choice to make and for that reason we believe you should always capture the Proposal moment. You can't go back in time and capture the moment but you can choose to delete. However I doubt many people will ever need that delete button.
